"Sir, we wish to see Jesus" (Jn 12:21b)

Preaching has eternal consequences. It is through God's Word that sinners are shown their sin and brought to repentance. It is through God's Word that terrified sinners are given their Savior from sin, rescued from death and hell. It is through God's Word that Christians receive comfort, strength, and instruction in the faith for holy living as we wait for our Lord's glorious appearing.

These sermons do not seek to entertain, nor give principles for living to better earthly gain. Rather, on the basis of God's inspired Word, they instruct in doctrine, rebuke false teaching, correct unholy living, and train God's people in godliness (2 Tim 3:16). They seek to "fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith" (Heb 12:2), for the consolation of our souls and hope of redemption (Rom 15:4). They seek to show us our loving Savior who has reconciled us to God by His death, bearing our sins, who has risen from the dead, bringing life and immortality to light.
