Book Group

During the course of the year (with breaks for Advent and Lent), a book is selected and copies are provided by the church to those who desire a copy.
As the book is read through chapter by chapter,
the group meets on

first, third, and occasional fifth Wednesdays
after Vespers
to discuss what has been read.

See below for our current book and a list of previous books
we have read and discussed .

Currently reading and discussing

The group is currently reading and discussing the book,

Blessed Be His Name: Revealing the Sacred Names of God
by Kevin S. Golden.

"The Second Commandment tells all Christians to respect the name of the Lord, keeping it Holy and to avoid misusing it. His name is revered above all other names. In modern society though, the name of the Lord is misused often without much thought to it. Come back to honoring the Lord's name by understanding what His name truly means.

Rev. Dr. Kevin Golden's wonderful approach to learning about and understanding the Lord's name will guide you toward a greater appreciation for all of God's names. Study questions included at the end of each chapter will push you to think deeply about what has been discussed and how to apply it to your view of Scripture and to your daily life. "

Book Group meets in April on
Wednesdays, April 15 and April 29, at 7:00 pm

and then resumes meeting
the 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesdays of each month at 7:00 pm.
