Coloring page sand Bible word puzzles often supplement these lessons.

Weekday Classes

First Communion Instruction is how the Church brings children to the Sacrament of the Altar for further strengthening of their life in Christ.   This class currently meets on Saturday mornings.

Children of any age who have learned by heart The Ten Commandments, The Lord's Prayer, The Apostles Creed, and specified sections of Holy Baptism, Confession, and The Lord's Supper are invited to attend 10 weekly sessions with Pastor Gerike.  Instruction is in the basic texts of the Catechism. Afterwards, a discussion  with the parents and an examination of the student will determine if they are ready to be admitted to the altar.  Occasionally, another session may be advised for further development of a child's knowledge and ability to confess the faith.
